The Browning Arms Company B-78 Bicentennial Commemorative Rifle is a highly collectible single-shot falling-block rifle produced in 1976 to celebrate America’s 200th anniversary (1776–1976) and honor John Moses Browning’s early firearm design legacy. Built on a lever-actuated falling-block action, it is chambered primarily in .45-70 Government, offering classic big-bore capability in a traditional single-shot platform.
This limited edition saw a production run of only 1,000 units worldwide, adding significant collector appeal. It features a 24-inch blued octagonal barrel and a satin coin/silver-finished receiver adorned with intricate floral scroll engraving. The receiver artwork showcases an American Bald Eagle on one side and a Bison on the other, reinforcing its patriotic theme. The B-78 stands as both a functional rifle and a finely detailed commemorative piece of American firearms history.
